Jade Christenson

Jade is a natural in the Activities Department, but it was not what she thought she would grow up to be. She started by getting herself a certification in Business & Accounting from Butler Community College. She just knew one day she would own her own business and she wanted to be ready. She then got her certification in Paint & Fabrication through WSU Tech. Her future was about to be redirected when she met her forever person, Kolbe Christenson and Covid -19 decided to switch things up for her.
Jade had grown up with a family working in Long Term Care facilities, which she often visited to enjoy the smiles she could bring to new friends residing there. With Covid-19 coming into everyone’s lives, working, spending time with family, and everyday living changed in a blink of an eye. While Jade was working to get experience in the fields she had worked so hard to get certified in, the world was put on hold.
With extra time on her hands, Jade took it upon herself to start volunteering for a local Assisted Living. Bringing joy from the outside to the inside by delivering flowers, decorating windows, and providing sweets & treats. This is when Jade found her true calling. She quickly took the opportunity to get her CNA, SSD, & Activities Director certifications. She started getting experience from the inside of the facilities now. Caring for those who needed it now more than ever.
